For those of you who read most of these posts, you will be excited that I am only a week apart from the last post! We are still trucking through May so I felt like if I did not blog now, I did not know when the next one would be and it would be another gigantic blog.
I think the biggest thing going on with us lately has been Sarah Beth's determination to walk. She can stand completely on her own and stand up from sitting down without any help! One thing you need to know about Sarah Beth is that she is fearless. She tries to dive off the couch all the time! She will also dive on people without them realizing it. I am terrified she will be one of those kids at the pool who just jump in without realizing they can't swim. (I use to lifeguard and have seen it happen many times!) For some reason this does not translate to walking though. She walks fine holding on to something, but when she tries to walk without help she takes one step forward and then freaks out about moving the other leg, cries and sits down to crawl. That being said, it will be any day now according to everyone who sees her. We have another wedding this weekend. She will be staying with Grandaddy and Nana and Camilla is terrified she will walk at their house.
I have also bought Sarah Beth a blow up Kiddie pool. First off, I feel like maybe I should have majored in engineering instead of political science. All these toys, even the pool are very complicated. Most directions now just have pictures and not written directions. I have a terrible time translating those pictures. But after getting the thing blown up and assembled and getting Sarah Beth dressed and lathered in sunscreen we went outside. Secondly, I thought this would be an excellent time for her to play outside and me to get sun. Not so much for me. I spent the afternoon hunched over playing with her and got burned on my back but not sun elsewhere. We had a ball though. She was terrified for a while when I first put her in it, but soon enough she splashed most of the water out of the pool and on the towels! I know she doesn't look very happy in the first picture, but she was laughing by the end of it! We called it an afteroon and she slept hard till dinner.
That pretty much sums up last week. We spent this weekend relaxing on Saturday and graduating Dutch's cousin Caroline on Sunday and are now getting ready for Jared and Katie's wedding. Both Jared and Katie are friends of Dutch's friends from VSU. Jared was in our wedding and now Dutch is returning the favor. We are excited for them both!! Monday will be my birthday and I am hoping to spend the afternoon at the pool. It doesn't take much anymore!! Enjoy the new pics!!
Sarah Beth finally enjoying the pool!
Us taking pictures of ourselves with my phone. Sarah Beth is OBSESSED with phones and remote controls. Go figure!
Much Love, MB

Enjoy it while she'll actually stay IN the pool. James climbs in, gets out, climbs in, gets out. My stepmom commented the other day that she wanted to take him to the pool so that she could "lay out and get some sun." I almost died. There is NO WAY you can lay out at a pool while you have a toddler. :) And he is in fact one of those children who will jump in with no fear. He has to wear a puddle jumper or life jacket at all times or be carried.
