Dancing Queen

Wow you say!! A family picture. Why is it so hard to get them? So what's up with us you ask? I was getting good at posting and then fell off the band wagon. Well, to put it bluntly, life happened. Since the last posting we had my birthday and another wedding memorial weekend. Dutch was in this wedding, it was college friends of his. It was in Gwinnett County. Jared was in our wedding and Katie has been a part of his life since college. We had friends stay with us for part of the weekend for the wedding and Sarah Beth stayed at her Grandaddy's and Nana's. She had a ball and I believe wore them out. This was our first weekend away from Sarah Beth. We ended up staying near the wedding Saturday night so we could enjoy it and spend some quality time together. Dutch took me the next day to the movies at the Mall of Georgia for my birthday. Papa George, Mimi and Grandy then came over Memorial Day for my actual birthday. We cooked out and played in the sun. Dutch cooked an awesome meal!

The next weekend was Dutch's cousin Adam Cornett's wedding. This was Sarah Beth's first wedding and it was in the mountains at Barnsley Gardens. This is where the picture above was taken. We had an amazing time at this wedding and were able to relax and enjoy since none of us where actually in it. Sarah Beth was a trouper as well and behaved wonderfully for the trip. Sarah Beth then went through what I believe was a week of "detox" from ALL of our escapades.

Since then, we have been to Lake Blackshear. Dutch and I relaxed and played on the lake while Mimi and Papa George took care of SB. Aunt Teensy and Cole were even able to play with us too! I have been trying to get SB used to the pool. SHe has made MAJOR progress and did not even cry when we all went as a family this Saturday. I think it had to do with Dutch being with us. She is SUCH a Daddy's girl! But don't be mistaken she also has him wrapped around her tiny finger. Dutch had his first Father's Day. We gave him a day to himself and new flipflops. Grandy also came to celebrate and cook lunch on Sunday. We always enjoy Grandy's cooking and she got QT with Sarah Beth and Dutch. All he wanted - a relaxing day with family so that is what he got! We have had a couple of weekends at home relaxing and are now gearing up for the big day - Sarah Beth's Birthday!!

Major milestones - She walked. She has only done it once. She was so mad at us for not letting her crawl to Dutch she walked to him. However, she was so upset she doesn't even know she did it. She has taken a couple steps since then, but I still don't think she knows she can walk! She also has a new pasttime: DANCING! She will dance to any music or none at all. The funniest thing is that she will stop what she is doing when she hears music on TV and start dancing. Even if it is just a second. She also dances to most of her toys that play music. It is the funniest thing to watch!

Enjoy the update and until we meet again...

Much Love, MB
